«Esta mezcla pretende ser una gestalt de sonidos tomados del techno y el electro, con un fondo de bassy house, sobre todo porque me distraigo y no siempre puedo concentrarme, ¡lo que espero que os mantenga interesados! Si bien espero que la mezcla sea capaz de valerse por sí misma y contar su propia historia, te adelanto, a ti – el oyente – que en una nota más personal, dentro de esta mezcla existen pistas con las que he luchado para averiguar cómo mezclar, así como pistas con las que he gritado y llorado, algunas en pistas de baile y otras en privado. Mi objetivo es que el oyente deje espacio para el sonido, a veces enfrentado, de melodías exuberantes y arrebatos ásperos. Espero que esta mezcla te encuentre donde estás, ayude a tu cuerpo a mantener el compás y te ayude a superar cualquier cosa alta, baja o tercera secreta por la que estés pasando en este momento de la historia.»

«This mix is intended to be a swirling gestalt of sounds borrowed from techno and electro, set to a pumping bassy house backdrop–mostly because I get distracted and can’t always focus; which hopefully will keep you interested! While I hope the mix is able to stand alone and tell its own story, I will preface, to you–the listener–that on a more personal note, within this mix exist tracks that I have fought with to figure out how to mix as well as tracks that I have screamed and cried to, some on dancefloors and some in private. «La música house siempre me ha parecido una manifestación de alegría profunda y resplandeciente y de ser notablemente humane -a veces en marcado contraste con la música rave, más turbia y sombría, envuelta en niebla y luces estroboscópicas- tal vez el equivalente en la pista de baile de una risa burbujeante donde otra música de baile susurra una oración. Es esta cualidad de calidez que es tan emocionante y reconfortante, y que permite a todes disfrutar y celebrar la vida juntes, lo que hace que la música house sea familiar y unificadora. Quería tomar esta energía y sensibilidad pero hacerla más onírica, vaporosa, atmosférica y decorada con un poco de sentimentalismo centelleante; de ahí pads más oníricos, sintetizadores emotivos, arpegios chispeantes, algunas inclinaciones y referencias adyacentes al trance. Especialmente a medida que cambian las estaciones y nos encontramos con días más largos, una luz más brillante y el comienzo de la floración, pensé en conjurar una neblina primaveral para despertar de los vientos fríos a nuevos y sorprendentes rayos de sol: música para esforzarse en sonreír con una compañía pensativa y jubilosa.»

«This mix is an example of both the timelessness and wide range that exists within dance music. Not only do these tracks span from the late 80s to just a few months ago, the sound varies across the dance music spectrum. For me many of these sounds are what have drawn me to the dance floor over the years, helping to combat both my social anxiety and gender dysphoria; they are what have reminded me many times that being Queer and loving the things you love puts you in community with so many other like minded radical folks. My hope for whoever listens is that you can resonate with my love for these tracks, the artists that created them!»

«Esta mezcla es un ejemplo tanto de la atemporalidad como de la amplia gama que existe dentro de la música de baile. Estas canciones no sólo abarcan desde finales de los 80 hasta hace sólo unos meses, sino que el sonido varía en todo el espectro de la música de baile. We honor this history through our own exploration of artists, labels, remixes, samples, etc
all of which has led to house & techno as our love language.
We tend to have an affinity for groovy bass lines and unique tones & textures that get your body movin.
This mix is yet another example of our 10 year long adventure into electronic music together;
showing love to prolific artists who have produced for decades (and continue releasing music),
to innovative artists who evolve these sounds, and a nod to Philadelphia creators.»
