Para mí, la música house -en particular el acid house- es una parte fundamental del trabajo de mi vida. Llevo 18 años dirigiendo I Love Acid, y las personas que participan en él se han convertido en mi familia. Creo que es importante utilizar cualquier influencia o poder que tengas para mejorar la escena para los demás, para ser el tipo de persona que TÚ necesitabas cuando estabas empezando. Es fácil hablar mucho en Internet (¡todo el mundo lo hace!), pero lo que cuenta son las acciones que uno lleva a cabo, y yo preferiría que me conocieran no tanto por mis tonterías en las redes sociales, sino por la música que pincho, la gente que contrato como DJ en mis fiestas y los artistas que edito en mi sello discográfico.»
«I’m deeply honoured to be asked to do the House of Others 100th podcast. I’ve been listening since #2 Paurro and #6 Boyyyish! I tried to make this a really personal mix, themed around the Posthuman release “It’s A House Thing” from 2015. It features music by many of my friends and labelmates – Lauren Flax, Alinka, Elisa Bee, Paranoid London, Black Girl / White Girl, Hard Ton and more. For me, house music – particularly acid house – is a central part of my life’s work. I’ve been running I Love Acid for 18 years now, and the people involved in it have become family. I think it’s important to use any influence or power you have to make the scene better for others – to be the kind of person YOU needed when you were starting out. It’s easy to talk big online (everybody does!) but it’s the actions you take that count, and I’d prefer to be known not so much for my silly social media noise – but for the music I play, the people I book to DJ at my parties, and the artists I release on my record label.»
